Free social media management

At 3696 total fans, Idaho Central Credit Union decided to use GroSocial to run a Valentine’s Day promotion with the goal of generating engagement and growing its Facebook presence. And it worked. In just 16 days, the “All You Need Is Love” photo contest produced over 5000 user-generated stories and 4000 new fans.

Lisa Davis leads the social marketing charge at ICCU. Rather than go it alone, she has worked closely with Cameron Kirby on GroSocial’s Kickstart team, and together they decided to launch a photo contest from February 14 to March 1. Since many businesses do not extend their Valentine’s Day promotions more than one or two days, it allowed them to take advantage of the between-holiday lull.

Design affects user perception and plays a critical role in the number of users who enter a contest. To make sure this promotion was optimized, Lisa decided to take advantage of Design Services to create a simple, stylish and effective tab. The tab was built using GroSocial’s like-to-reveal feature. This made it so that before users could enter the contest or vote, they would need to like the ICCU Facebook page.
